A new set of wildlife corridors are being built in the jungles of Thailand which will allow larger creatures to roam undisturbed by humans.
The south-east Asian nation already houses some of the weirdest and most wonderful creatures on earth, but logging and farming have seem much of their natural habitat diminished.
This week, acting natural resources and environment minister Yongyuth Yutthawong said that the new corridors will protect Thailand's animal population by providing them with their own strip of jungle away from roads and human activity.
''The wildlife corridors will hopefully increase exchanges between animal populations and strengthen wildlife breeds,'' said Mr Yongyuth said.
He added that if they are given the green light, the corridors will link the beautiful Dong Phya Yen forest with Khao Yai national park and Kaeng Krachan national park with the western forest complex.
Also joined will be the Srinakarin dam in the Tambon Tha Kradan, Si Sawat District with Salak Phra national park.
