Borneo+holidays+'a+must'+for+adventurers
Borneo holidays come in all shapes and sizes. Some travellers prefer to spend them trekking through miles of jungle, while others are happy to simply enjoy a relaxing break on the beach.

But this is perhaps the joy of this exotic land as it has something on offer to suit every traveller's needs.

Wildlife enthusiasts will no doubt be drawn to one of the country's national parks where they will be able to get up close and personal with one of the most fascinating primates on earth – the Orang Utan.

Sepilok rehabilitation centre is perhaps the most popular sanctuary among travellers where they can watch young and often injured Orangs being nursed back to health.

Other animals which patrol this Malaysian paradise are gibbons, leopards, bears, elephants, rhinos and even turtles – which can be spotted while scuba diving in the crystal clear waters surrounding the island.

Borneo, the third largest island on the planet, is also home to more than 15,000 species of flowering plants and 3,000 species of tree.

It is an adventurer's paradise but may not be for long, with deforestation sadly having a huge impact on the island's natural habitat.ADNFCR-1391-ID-18427141-ADNFCR
