London+gets+a+taste+of+Brazil

London will play host to a free festival celebrating 50 years of Bossa Nova, it has been reported.

Aiming to promote the benefits of a holiday to Brazil, the festival will take place on July 6th in London's South Bank as part of the Coin Street Festival with artists such as Nouvelle Vague expected to play.

Chris Fuzinatto, Brazilian tourist office director for UK and Ireland, said: "It will be a truly memorable event that will offer the people of London a little slice of Brazilian culture that will hopefully entice them to holiday in Brazil."

Tourists who take an environmental holiday to Brazil will be able to visit the Amazon rainforest which has amazing biodiversity and contains one third of the world's species, according to the WWF.

"This is an important opportunity to highlight Brazil’s heritage and research tells that Brazil's main attraction for the great British public is its rich culture, the UK is one of our best performers in terms of tourism," said Mr Fuzinatto.

Over 100,000 Brazilians currently live in London, according to the Brazilian Tourist Office.ADNFCR-1391-ID-18647589-ADNFCR
