Thousands+to+celebrate+spring+in+South+Africa+

Wildlife enthusiasts from across the globe will be travelling to South Africa in September for the annual Whale Festival held at Walker Bay.

The Hermanus Whale Festival offers tourists unmissable whale-watching opportunities on the southernmost tip of Africa, at the heart of the Cape Whale Route.

In addition to the amazing whale-spotting events, from 24th to 28th September the region will be alive with a mass of parties and celebrations of the wonderful mammals to mark the arrival of the Southern Right Whales for the spring.

Known as the best land-based destination for whale-watching in the world, Hermanus will play host to thousands of visitors, entertaining revellers with African music and rhythms throughout the festival.

According to the organisers, highlights not-to-be missed include a fish cook-off at the Old Harbour, promoting the South African Sustainable Seafood Initiative and environmental sustainable expo, which will include a food and wine emporium, offering visitors a taste of local cuisine.ADNFCR-1391-ID-18647594-ADNFCR
