Travellers are booking trips to Greenland in their droves where experts say they can catch a spectacular glimpse of the rare total eclipse of the sun.
On August 1st, skywatchers across the globe will be awaiting the impressive event, and few will have a better seat than those in Greenland.
According to the experts, the total eclipse will be best seen from northern Greenland as well as the remote northern parts of Canada, Siberia and China.
A number of travel companies are offering tours to the regions in the path of the eclipse and are already reporting high numbers of bookings.
The sun will be blocked out for approximately two minutes and 12 seconds but for many adventurous travellers the trip will be well worth it.
Many are expected to combine their journey to Greenland with a trip to see some of the Arctic wildlife which inhabits the remote north of the country.
The next total solar eclipse in the UK is not happening until 2090.
