Delegates at a travel conference in South Africa have discussed how the world has been "convinced of the greatness" of the country and how it welcomes "nature lovers, animal lovers, golfers and those looking to experience our culture".
The experts met at the three-day International Investment Council meeting to discuss the future of tourism in South Africa.
According to those who attended the conference, the announcement that the African nation would be hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup has seen a boost in the number of people booking trips there.
"We might be far from the vibe of the cities, but during the World Cup our business will sure see an increase in visitors," said one delegate.
South African officials are predicting that some 450,000 travellers will flock to the country during the eight-week sporting event.
As well as enjoying the tournament, many fans are also expected to take advantage of the other delights on offer to travellers from scuba diving to safari.
