Malaysia holidays
Synonymous with the mystery of the East, Malaysia still conjures visions of rubber trees, sultans, jungles, pirates, headhunters and exotic beaches. Lying between Singapore to the south and Thailand to the north, the peninsular area divides between a pulsating and affluent west and a more leisurely east, speckled with wonderful beaches.
Four hundred miles further across the sea lies the island of Borneo, where the two states of Sarawak and Sabah sandwich Brunei between them. Here you can walk in rain forest, visit the orang-utan sanctuary, paddle up overhung rivers, lie on beaches, dive or, for the adventurous, climb Gunung Kinabalu, Borneos highest mountain.
